In a press release, DESAM appealed to the institutes not to take in any freshers until they get recognition from the INC.
If they had already taken any fresher, they should transfer them to other recognized institutes.
If they do not pay attention to the appeal of DESAM and continue taking new students, they will be held responsible for any situation that arises which may endanger the academic career of the students.
It also appealed to the students and parents to be cautious while seeking admission for nursing courses.
It may be mentioned that Registrar, Manipur Nursing Council, had already notified nursing institutes who do not have recognition of INC and who do not fulfill the guidelines of INC not to run institutes, through an office notification on October 15th, 2008.MNC had also notified not to conduct any examination under the council by unrecognized institutes, both government and private, on December 4th, 2009.Despite of the notification and restriction of the MNC, many unrecognized institutes are taking in students till now.
