Among others, District Supply Officer of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (CAF&PD) highlighted the financial impact due to distribution of rice at subsidized rate under National Food Security Act (NFSA) and free of cost under PMGKAY to the farmers of the state.
The officer mentioned that as there is no provision as yet for the government to procure rice produced by the state farmers, they are facing problems in selling their rice produce.

After hearing the problems, the Union minister assured that he would take up the problems with the ministries concerned.
While reviewing schemes related to the education sector, the Union minister advised the officials of the department to give emphasis on creating awareness to the students on the importance of keeping the school campus neat and clean.
He said that students should be made aware of -the importance of using water after using the washroom and asked the official to ensure sticking bills like "use water after washroom".
The Union minister further asked the official to appoint one teacher in each school to ensure that the school is neat and clean every time.
MLA Th Radheshyam brought up a proposal for setting up a separate JNV for Thoubal district while informing that the district has no such centrally run school after it was bifurcated for carving out Kakching district.
The Union minister assured that he will look into the setting of new JNV and KVS in Thoubal district.
