The first Youth Gospel Music Festival (YUGOMUF), promoted and organized by Kuki Baptist Convention Youth Department from August ended in style yesterday at KBC Centre Church, Kangpokpi, our correspondent reports.
The grand finale of Zaithem, best Gospel singer competition, was also held on the closing day of the festival.
The closing ceremony was graced by Heshi Haokip, wife of IFC Minister Ngamthang Haokip as chief guest; Juliana Doungel, wife of C Doungel, Addl DGP, Lamkholhai Haokip and Joycy Hangshing as guests of honour.
KBC Women president Boishi Haokip was the functional president of the ceremony.

Thousands of people from different KBC Gambih across the State gathered at KBC Centre Church Kangpokpi to attend the music festival.
Around 47 participants from Manipur, Nagaland and Assam took part in the Zaithem competition.
The winner of the competition, Nengpilhing Haokip from KBC Gambih No 4 in Saitu Sapormeina, Sadar Hills, received a cash reward of Rs 50,000 and a citation while second and third position holders Haokip from KBC Gambih No 5 Kangpokpi Sadar Hills and Letminthang Haokip from Gambih No 13 received Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively in cash and a citation each.
