ADC candidate appeals for end to harassment of workers

A day after the alleged thrashing of three BJP workers and one INC worker from 6-Tolloi DCC by unidentified miscreants, BJP candidate of the constituency Clement Lungleng has appealed for an end to harassment and assault of political workers belonging to any parties.
Lungleng -- who contested as BJP candidate from 6-Tolloi DCC but lost the recently held MHAADC Election 2015�, has strongly appealed to all groups not to repeat such violent act targeting political workers so as to avoid the threat of harassment gripping many parties' workers.
On Monday around 4: 30 pm, 3 BJP workers identified as Wungleng Muiung, Rintharso and Thanreiso and 1 INC worker Jocob were allegedly thrashed by unknown persons in the heart of Ukhrul town, sources said.
It is learnt that the said four workers and another one INC female worker identified as Ramthingla all hailing from Ngaimu village which falls under 6-Tolloi ADC segment had come to Ukhrul town after some unknown persons asked them over the phone to come for a talk.
