Yet another driver abducted in Nagaland

Imphal, November 28 2013:
A bus driver from Manipur was abducted by suspected Naga based militants at Viswema region of Nagaland in the early hours around 5 a.m of November 27, according to a transporters union and the family members of the abducted driver.
The bus driver, identified as Th.Rami (31) s/o Th.Ningthem of Luwangshangbam Mamang Leikai was abducted by suspected Naga Nationalist Council (NNC) militants when he was on his way from Guwahati to Imphal.
He was driving a Rayol Rajdhani bus bearing registration number MN01 1737, owned by one H.Chaohai Sharma of Bamon Leikai, Imphal, the family members of the abducted drivers stated.
It is learned that while he was driving the bus, he sensed a white Maruti van following him which subsequently stopped the bus at Viswema.
Three militants who were in the van told him to get down from the bus and took him away.
The family of the abducted driver has no clue about his whereabouts.
In connection with the abduction, the All Manipur State Bus Association has appealed to the concerned organization to release the driver safe and sound considering the pains faced by the family members.
