Thuizang club clarifies

Thuizang Young Scout Club has made certain clarifications in connection with the death of L Chuonglien of Longa Koireng.
According to a statement, (L) Chuonglien along with Sr Khelmang, Sanjon and Rongbai of Longa Koireng village went to Chiru Lamkhai (Sangaithel parking) around 9.30pm of Nov 23 and demolished the temporary kutcha urinal set up by Auto Service Welfare Association, Sangaithel.
Later they returned in an inebriated condition and surrounded the house of Langa, a time keeper of ASWA, and W Ebi Singh, member of ASWA and individually threatened the life of Langa.
They tried to force open the door of Langa.
When the house owner came out he was thrashed without any reason.
Responding to the alarm raised by his wife, some youth of the locality turned up to see the matter.
While three of them fled, Chuonglien was held by the mob and action was taken against him, the statement said.
After giving necessary counselling and warning, he was handed over to the president of the local club with no sign of physical complicity.
The next day, an amicable agreement was reached between the two parties.
Later it was learnt that Chuonglien passed away at RIMS on Nov 25.Deeply mourning the demise of Chuonglien, the Thuizang Youth Club appealed the public not to spread false allegation against any individual while also urging the neighbouring villages to maintain strong ties as before, it said.
