Thoubal, July 25 2021:
Many organisations have condemned the July 20 mob lynching incident at Leishangthem Konung Mamang in 'Thoubal district which claimed the life of one MV Rayishad Ali and left two others injured.
In a release, JAC against the brutal killing of MV Riyashad Ali appreciated the police department for arresting some of the perpetrators involved in the mob lynching and further demanded to give stringent punishment.
Questioning the rationale of some associations/clubs of Leishangthem demanding release of the perpetrators, the JAC said that people of Leishangthem should understand that law court has already defined in clear terms which are the activities that one could indulge in or not.
It is unfortunate that the people of Leishangthem are naive that killing a person is not allowed by the court, the release said, while cautioning that JAC will launch several movements until the killers are booked and punished.
In a separate release, Puleipokpi Social Welfare Association, Sangaiyumpham Khunou Youth Development Organisation and All India Imams Council, Manipur state strongly denounced the mob lynching incident that killed one and badly injured two others.
They demanded the government to punish all those involved in the mob lynching incident in accordance to the law of the land.
