Caseload falls to 4, no new case reported

Imphal, May 16 2022:
The number of active Covid-19 cases has come down to four on Monday as government bulletins reported four recoveries and no new positive cases out of 61 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Monday also reported no death cases and the toll remains at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people, out of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
Out of the four active cases, three (75 per cent) are in home isolation.
So far, the state has recorded 11,442 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 10 new positive cases and zero fatality.
The weekly number of new cases is 3 .
The cumulative number of positive cases remains at 1,37,230 (general population -1,32,216 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) and recovered cases at 1,35,106 (general population -1,30,099 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) .
The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent.
A total of 391 D-type and 83 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 883 vaccine doses administered on Sunday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,63,601, including 12,16,097 who have received the second doses and 90,812 jabbed with precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48748), Imphal East (30448), Thoubal (10161), Churachandpur (11054), Kangpokpi (3135), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9843), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3277), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2726), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036), and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5), and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the test rate has improved to 5,19,308 tests per million population against the national average of 6,00,675 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent and cumulative positivity rate at 8.52 per cent.
