"Don't interfere with planting trees to save environment"

Considering the adverse effects of climate change and global warming, BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sarda has urged all concerned to not interfere with planting trees to save the environment.
The BJP president made the appeal during a tree plantation campaign organised by BJP Manipur Pradesh on the theme, "Save environment, save youth, save future generation" at Thoubal Tangjeng today.
Speaking on the occasion, A Sarda appealed to the public to support the Government's initiatives to save the environment.
She mentioned that the "Save environment, save youth, save future generation" campaign was organised in various parts of the state in support of the Government's War on Drugs mission and to plant trees to save the environment.

Highlighting the adverse effects of climate change, she stated that mass deforestation in various parts of the state have caused floods and mud-slides over the last couple of years.
"It is the responsibility of every individual/community residing in the state to preserve the environment for the future generations", she added.
A Sarda further urged all concerned to not interfere with any Manipuri who wishes to carry out tree plantations in the hills of the state including Thangjing, Koubru and Tangjeng to save the environment and future generations.
It may be mentioned that during the campaign, 2900 booths of BJP have planted over 5 lakh tree saplings across the state.
BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president, Ch Chidananda; State secretaries K Inaocha Devi, P Premananda Meitei, L Deven; BJP Thoubal president, Y Kumarjit; Y Nabachandra; members of Mandals and staff of Thoubal Forest Division led by DFO Th Lokendro also took part in the programme.
