N Raghumani, Chairperson, IMC speaking to Hueiyen Lanpao said that the new buildings of the three Ima Markets were inaugurated in October 2010 and accordingly licenses have been allotted to women vendors.
Though the IMC has appealed to the state government for handing over the three markets to the IMC, but the markets are yet to be handed over even after two years of inauguration.

Previously the three Ima Markets were supervised by IMC, which also issued the vendor licenses.
