Two books in Nepali "Euta Pistol Euta Kunda Puspa" and "Mero Loktak" by Bhawani Adhikari and published by Nepali Sahitya Parishad (NSM), Manipur were released at Charhajare Community Hall on November 4 .
Euta Pistol Euta Kunda Puspa is a book of short stories originally written by Elangbam Dinamani in Manipuri as "Pistol Ama Kunda Lei Ama", which was awarded in 1982 by Sahitya Akademi New Delhi while "Mero Loktak" is a collection of poems, said a statement of Bhola Nath Sharma, vice president, NSP, Manipur.
Writer Bhawani Adhikari who is a recipient of Padmadevi prize in 2009 for "Korougi Mashek Mangal", a collection of poems, has so far authored five books.
Dr HK Siwakoti gave the welcome address at the book release function while NSP, Manipur secretary Kritimani Khatiwada gave a brief introduction of "Mero Loktak" .
Conveying that NSP, Manipur is a State level literary organisation which was founded in 1983, the statement added that 25 books have been published by the organisation so far.
The organisation is responsible for preparation of text books in Nepali from Class I to XII as asked by Education Dept, COHSEM and BOSEM, the statement conveyed.
Nongmaithem Kiran Kumar, Organiser Manipuri Language Consultation Committee Sahitya Akademi Delhi, Adim Pamei, Vice Chairman, Disaster Management, Sagar Gewali, MDC District Council Kangpokpi, LB Basnet president NSP, Manipur attended the event as presidium members.
