Satyabhama case : Judgment to be announced on Dec 15

Session Judge Imphal East has fixed December 15 as the date to announce the judgment against the accused namely Ksh Biju, Th Jibon and T Thesis in the trial of the Satyabhama murder case.
The date was fixed after the final hearing of the case yesterday.
The three accused Kshetrimayum Biju @ Holendro s/o Ibungo of Irilbung Thongkhong, Thoudam Jibon s/o (L) Thoiba of Irilbung Machahal Leikai and Toijam Thesis @ Aboi @ James s/o T Jugindro of Thambalkhong Sabal Leikai, who are lodged in judicial custody since April 2013 were produced before the Court for the final hearing yesterday.
The case was on from April 2013 onward and after the completion of the investigation, IO of the case submitted the charge sheets under section 302 (Murder) and 120-B (common intention) before the Court.
Charges were framed against the accused on November 20, 2013 under section 302 and 120-B IPC.
The trial began on December 5, 2013 and on September 1, 2017 one Jitumani Das from Kamrup Assam gave his statement as the last prosecution witness.
It may be mentioned that the Ningombam Satyabhama, a Junior Research Fellow of Pathology Department, RIMS was found brutally murdered (with bruise marks on her neck and body) in a canal at Wangkhei Loumanbi Loukol, under Irilbung police station on April 5, 2013, a couple of days after she left her Kakwa residence.
The three accused were arrested a few days later by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) which was constituted to probe the case.
