Jiribam denizens peeved

Shortage of staff at United Bank of India (UBI), Jiribam branch is irritating the customers of this Nationalised bank.
Earlier this bank had eight staff, but now it is running with just 3, troubling both the customers and staff managing the bank branch.
Customers are also seen regularly queueing for cash amid the pandemic.
Speaking to this journalist, one bank customer from Kalinagar Part 2 stated that lack of staff at UBI, Jiribam, coupled with the problems of defective ATMs are greatly inconveniencing the bank customers of Jiribam.
Jiribam is economically backward as a district as there is not a single financial institution running smoothly, he continued Considering the hardship faced in looking for banking service, he appealed to the State Government and all concerned to open one SBI branch in the district.
He also appealed to the authority concerned to look into other matters that are concerning the bank customers of the district at the earliest.
