Manipur BJP would file a defamation suit against 'Clean Politics Mission' (CPM) convenor and former Manipur BJP spokesperson Ch Bijoy Singh for demanding party president Th Chaoba to quit within a week's time, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Manipur Pradesh said today.
Addressing a press conference at its office at Nityaypat Chuthek here today, O Malesh Singh, president Manipur BJYM claimed that a big change has been brought about in the BJP Manipur unit under the shrewd leadership of Th Chaoba who has been working hard with the partymen with great efforts to bring the Manipur Government in the right direction.

Saying that BJP is a disciplined party which always stands against corruption, Malesh made it straight that not a single penny was provided to Manipur BJP by the party national office at Delhi for the prime minister Narendra Modi's election campaign in Manipur.
The allegations made against the state party chief on the eve of the by-election in Hiyanglam constituency are the handiworks of Ch.
Bijoy in collusion with Congress party, he asserted.
Clean Party Mission (CPM) convenor and former Manipur BJP spokesperson Ch Bijoy has been tirelessly working hand to hand with the anti-Chaoba group to remove the party president from his post, Malesh accused and continued saying that a slander suit will be filed against him for demanding Chaoba to quit in a week's time.
CPM is a Manipur based socio-political action group whose main aim is to fight against corrupt practices in politics.
Reacting to the remarks by Statesman correspondent Yambem Laba concerning Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent Lok Sabha election rally at Langjing Achouba ground here, Malesh said it appeared that Yambem Laba had been influenced by the Congress.
Yambem Laba was talking like a pro-Congress man, he alleged and said such comments can do no harm to the BJP.
BJP Manipur Pradesh President Th Chaoba had earlier announced to sue the national daily The Statesman, local vernacular Hueiyen Lanpao and The Statesman's special correspondent Yambem Laba, for a report accusing him of involving in a corruption case.
Chaoba's legal counsel had on September 23 this year served legal notices to Yambem Laba and the publishers of the two newspapers demanding clarification and apology within one week.
Meanwhile, the BJP Khurai Mandal said it condemned the statement by Ch Bijoy demanding Th Chaoba to quit within a week's time.
The move by CPM convenor Bijoy was a challenge to the state BJP and so, slander suit would be filed against him by the party, S Somorendro, general secretary (Administration), BJP Khurai Mandal told reporters at the Press Club here.
