Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhoumik has categorically stated that BJP returning to power in the 2022 Assembly elections is imperative for peace to prevail in Manipur and focus on development.
The MoS who is also an Election-in charge of BJP Manipur is on a two day visit to the State.
On the first day, Pratima Bhoumik discussed strategies for the BJP to return to power with the party office bearers of Bishnupur Mandal during an interaction programme at Oknarel Laibung, Ningthoukhong.
At the function, she contended that the Congress always overlooked the North East States while implementing developmental projects during its governance and urged the party workers to ensure BJP wins all the six Assembly Constituencies in the district.
Maintaining that the development in North East India hit a new pace with the coming of the Modi Government, the MoS stated that the Government is also considering to directly connect the capitals of North East India with the National Capital New Delhi by 2022.Today, the Biren led Government has brought peace to Manipur, Pratima Bhoumik said and stated that giving mandate to the saffron party in the upcoming State Assembly election is crucial to retain the hard earned peace.
BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi said that the BJP is not a party which overlooks people's aspirations after an election.
She clarified that the BJP was unable to give the benefits of different schemes to every household due to the blunder of the previous Government.
Sharda further urged the party workers to carry out its responsibility with utmost efficiency and give awareness of the different Government schemes to the people.
BJP Bishnupur District Committee president RK Bimola Devi, PDA Chairman T Robindro, MLA P Sharatchandra, former Union Minister Th Chaoba also attended the programme among others.
On her way to Kakching, Pratima Bhoumik was felicitated by former president of Kisan Morcha Manipur Pradesh Kh Nabakumar at Kumbi Bazar.
There, the MoS urged the gathering to support BJP to ensure the party wins over 40 seats in the 2022 Assembly elections.
