The 4th River bank Music Festival will be held on April 29 and 30 .
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Director of Leipung Wah Entertainment, Tom Maisnam said that the festival will be organised by Leipung Wah Entertainment and Nongmaishang on April 29 and 30 at Brahmapur Bheigyabati Leikai.
The festival began in 2014 and a cycle rally was organised in 2016 under the them 'Cycle for Change' as a part of the festival.
He said that the festival will be organised for two days this year as opposed to the one day festival of the previous years adding that a seminar would also be organised after the festival.
The price of the ticket ranges from Rs 200 for one day to Rs 300 (season ticket) for two days of the festival.
The theme of the festival is to urge the Government to implement proper Plastic Recycling plan and integrated waste management system and to spread awareness about the need to keep the rivers and water bodies clean.
The festival would feature local artistes like Tapta and Sorri Senjam but no external band would be performing this year.
He pointed out that Tapta has even composed a special song for spreading awareness in connection with the festival.
Tom further said that a petition would be signed and submitted to the Chief Minister as a part of the festival's theme adding that they have already met the Speaker regarding the festival and the Speaker has assured every possible support.
