All Manipur VDF Welfare Association appeals to fulfil their demands

All Manipur VDF Welfare Association appealed to the Chief Minister to fulfil their demands and provide them the due benefits at the earliest.
The above appeal was made during a press meet held at Manipur Press Club today.
Speaking to media persons, president of All Manipur VDF Welfare Association, M Amuthoi Singh said a memorandum enlisting some important demands for the welfare of VDF was submitted to the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and other higher officials concerned on April 21.Elaborating about the demands enlisted in the memorandum he said the Government should extend 13 months pay to VDF personnel as given to other police forces and to establish a separate wing or battalion for VDF for the smooth and efficient functioning.
Further the Government should regularise VDF personnel by drafting proper rules and regulation and to assign ranks to them accordingly as per their seniority level, he added.
Reminding about the Chief Minister's assurance given on the occasion of 12th foundation day of VDF, he said the Chief Minister informed them to submit a memorandum and gave assurance that the Government will try its best to address the grievances accordingly.
Therefore he urged the Government to fulfil the demands of VDF at the earliest in the interest of VDF personnel who have been serving the people of Manipur and fulfilling their duties equivalent to those of police constables.
