Imphal, April 23 2021:
Nestle India has apologised for misrepresenting Keibul Lamjao National Park (KLNP) on its KitKat cover.
"While we stay at home, the KITKAT travel breakpacks were aimed at bringing a smile in these tough times by celebrating beautiful locations.
We got it wrong with the location of one of the packs celebrating wildlife and we sincerely apologise for this unintentional error.
We are launching 2 new packs as soon as possible to bring to light the beauty of these destinations.
These packs celebrate Keibul Lamjao National Park, Manipur and Balpakram National Park, Meghalaya.
We thank you for your understanding and support," apologised Nestle India in a statement.
The apology was also uploaded on social media by KitKat India.
It might be mentioned here that Nestle India had wrongly indicated the location of KLNP as Meghalaya on its KitKat cover and the People for Animal (PFA), Manipur and Forest Department had sharply reacted to the blunder.
