Symposium on inclusive economic development held

A symposium on 'Inclusive Economic Development Will Usher in ethnic harmonization in Manipur' was successfully held today at HQ 59 Brigade, Taphou Naga village in Senapati district.
The symposium was attended by GOC Red Shield Division, U Suresh Kumar as chief guest.
Lieutenant Sousanai, MNS officer from Senapati, Thanggoulen Kipgen, PhD scholar from NEHU Shillong, Bunii, PhD Scholar working in Directorate of Environment, Hoishing Koren, PhD Scholar from IGNTU RCM, Joyson Kamei, Social Worker, Research Scholar and Member of Indian Red Cross Society from Tamenglong and Thokchom Sylvia Devi, ASHA (NRHM), Social Worker and National Youth Volunteer (NKYs) attended as speaker in the daylong symposium.
Brigadier SK Sharma, DIG CRPF, Sword Vashum, former IAAS, India, Dr Thongkholal Haokip, Assistant Professor JNU, Prof Mohendro, Manipur University, Dr Sile Anthony, Director, NEC, Human Resource, Prof Arun Yumnam, MU and Bountia Keishing, Social Worker and Entrepreneur attended as panelists.
The purpose of the symposium was to provide the future generation, a platform where they can present their assessments regarding the current prevailing situation in Manipur and also give divergent views on inclusive growth in Manipur along ethnic harmonization.
The need for inclusive economies that provide economic opportunities for all and allow current � and future � citizens to flourish was motivationally stressed during the event where many speakers also deliberated on the topic which was further qualified by the expert comments of the panelists.
