CME on modern radiation oncology practices held

Imphal, December 27 2017:
A one-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) on Modern Radiation Oncology Practices was held today at RIMS mini auditorium.
The programme was organised by Radiotherapy Department, RIMS.
The CME was inaugurated by Professor A Santa Singh, RIMS Director.
Faculty members, staff, officials and students of the medical institute attended the programme.
Professor Th Tomcha Singh, Dean, School of Medical Sciences, Manipur University & Professor of Radiotherapy Department, RIMS spoke on the topic "Modern Methods of Radiation Practice in the CME Programme" .
Dr KS Madhavan from United Kingdom deliberated on the topic "Systems.
Drugs and Machines : What Really Matters in Modern Cancer Therapy and Medico Legal Aspects of Modern Oncological Practice" .
Professor L Jaichand Singh, Head of Radiotherapy Department, RIMS and Professor H Nabachandra Singh, former Head, Department of Forensic Medicine, RIMS were the chairpersons of the programme.
Dr Madhavan said that the programme will benefit the medical students in understanding the modern technology in the field of Radiotherapy.
Professor Santa said that the programme will give an opportunity to collaborate with the United Kingdom and other countries in the field of cancer treatment.
