Imphal, December 04 2017:
Social Worker RK Joysana has pledged to get the Manipur Parliamentary Secretary (Employment, Salary, Allowance and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2012, abolished even though the State Government has submitted before the Court that it has backtracked on the appointment of 12 MLAs as Parliamentary Secretaries .
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, RK Joysana pledged to approach the High Court of Manipur to abolish the Act claiming that if the unconstitutional Act exists, the State Government might try to misuse its powers and appoint the Parliamentary Secretaries yet again .
On the other hand, RK Joysana, who also filed the PIL to declare organisations imposing bandhs and blockades on the National Highways as unlawful, said that the importance of the issue nudged the HC to take up necessary measures regarding the frequent blockades along the National Highways as well as begin monitoring the road construction/ repair works along the lifelines of the State.
