Claiming irregularities at the Manipur Tribal Development Cooperation (MTDC) in processing bill for contract work, the Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) has appealed to the State Government and authority concerned to look into the matter at the earliest A press release issued by IPAK said that they have report of contractors spending about 10 percent (fund) of development programmes at MTDC on processing bill.
"If work agencies continue to collect their share from development programmes, when will the condition of State's infrastructures get better," it asked adding that such insincerity on the part of certain Government employees is hindering the development of the State.
Claiming that they also came across retired officials holding posts at MTDC for more than 3 years on investigation, IPAK urged all concerned to remove the retired officials and appoint eligible candidates for the posts.
The statement further urged all concerned to refrain from hindering development projects for some cash in future.
