Cabinet nods to place revised estimates in session today

The State Cabinet gave approval to present Revised Estimates Budget 2020-21 and Budget Estimates 2021-22 in the Budget session of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, which is set to begin from tomorrow.
The resolution was adopted during a meeting presided by Chief Minister N Biren Singh at the Cabinet Hall of the CM's Secretariat late today evening.
After the meeting, Works Minister Th Biswajit stated that Cabinet also gave approval on regularisation of excess budgetary provision of 2016-17 and tabling of Manipur State Planning Authority Bill 2021 and Oil Palm Bill 2021 .
The Cabinet also agreed to introduce a Bill to replace the Ordinance and Corrigendum issued last year for amending the Section 3 of Manipur Conservation of Paddyland & Wetland Act 2014, the Minister added.
He also said that another resolution was taken to procure a land measuring .57 (point 57) to upgrade the INA complex at Moirang and compensate the affected families based on heritage value.
The Cabinet also gave nod to establish Manipur Innovation Society, revise the scheduled rate of forest products' royalty among others.
