Chief Minister's Green Manipur Mission awareness programme held

A one day awareness programme on Chief Minister's Green Manipur Mission was jointly organised by the Divisional Forest Office Thoubal and United Fanners Organisation, Keirak at Ibudhou Sekmai Ningthou Laibung in Keirak Kangjeibung, Kakching district, today.The awareness programme was attended by Ph Jjiten Singh, Adyaksha Kakching Jilla; Zulingla Kengoo, DC Kakching; Md Najimuddin, Up-Adyaksha Kakching; Y Meiraba Angom, secretary UFO Manipur and V Chong, ACF Thoubal as presidium members.
Dr N Rajmuhon Singh, Professor Manipur University also attended the programme as resource person.
Addressing the programme, Naorem Munal Meitei, Range Forest Officer, Kakching district stated that it is high time "Green Manipur Day" is observed for the State to further strengthen the Chief Minister's flagship programme.
Resource person, Professor N Rajmuhon mentioned that since the initiation of the Chief Minister's Green Manipur Mission, the large biodiversity reserve of the State has been protected and utilized efficiently for the welfare of the society.
Zulingla Kengoo urged the Department concerned to work diligently and sincerely to make the Chief Minister's Green Manipur Mission successful.
Y Meiraba Angom also appealed to the public to extend support and assistance in order to protect and conserve the flora and fauna of the State.
