Innovative 'Foolish Team' converts dumping ground into public park

A dumping ground at Lilong Chajing has been converted into a public park, thanks to the 'Foolish Team'.
Called themselves the Foolish Team, they are a group of like minded 'innovative' local youths who converted the piece of land into a public park named 'Lilong Konung Park' where people of all age can visit for a stroll and relax.
The park was inaugurated today.
Revenue Minister Karam Shyam, Lilong Municipal Council Chairperson L Lalmani attended the inaugural function of the 'Lilong Konung Park' as chief guest and president.
Once, a dumping ground, the park was constructed within a short period of time by a group of 'innovative' youths of Lilong Chajing who called themselves the 'Foolish Team,' said Karam Shyam lauding the youths for their gift and service towards the community.
Stating that the team didn't take any aid from him for construction of the park, Karam Shyam shared that he would reimburse Rs 7.56 lakh (cost of construction) to the team from MLA Local Area Development Fund and provide additional aids and equipment for the park.
Talking about developmental works taken at parks in Langthabal Assembly Constituency, he informed that Lilong Chajing Pureiromba Eco Park now has an "open air gym" facility.
Two parks will be developed at Naran Konjil Ching (eco-park) and Lilakhong Maril, he added.
