Run-away tribal girl found, handed over to family

Imphal, July 10 2011:
A 16 year old tribal girl who tried to fled away from her home for further study in other states was found today at Kwakeithel Leimakhujam Leikai in a workshop and handed over to her family by volunteers of Child Line Imphal.
The girl who was identified as Unica daughter of VS Ningtham and VS Sarah of Kagiphung, Hungpung of Ukhrul district was found crying at the corner of the workshop by locals in the early morning today.
Meira Paibi members called volunteers of Young Women Help Organisation and handed her to them after which she was again handed over the custody of Child Line Imphal.
On enquiring the identity and residence of the girl, she disclosed her identify and told that she was residing at Chingmeirong along with an uncle, a brother and a sister.
She also told that she did not want to go home since no one in her family loves her.
Later volunteers of Child Line Imphal handed her to her family members.
