AR saves snakebite victim

Imphal, July 10 2011:
A 50 year old woman called Machatombi wife of Nongyai of Wabagai, District Thoubal was bitten by a venomous snake while working in a paddy field and brought to 27 Assam Rifles Unit Hospital at around 2.30 pm in a critical condition.
The unit Medical Team immediately provided her critical life saving medical care by administering Anti Venom injection and kept her under observation with the help of cardio respiratory monitor and as a result of their untiring and selfless efforts managed to stabilize her condition and evacuated her to District Hospital, Thoubal.
