Use GPS for border pillar, no one can move it then: ACOAM Lup president

President of All Clubs Organisation Association Meira Paibis Lup, Kangleipak (ACOAM-Lup, Kangleipak), Chandramani Khumancha has stated that implementation of a GPS like facility to set the longitude, latitude figures of the areas where the border pillars are erected will help in eliminating any border pillar shifting issues.
Speaking at the 18th foundation day of ACOAM Lup which was organised at Dharmasala, Thangal Bazar today, Chandramani Khumancha said that ACOAM Lup Kangleipak, being a component body of United Committee Manipur (UCM), desire a swift and positive end to the border pillar issue.
He claimed that if a GPS like technology is implemented to measure the longitude and latitude details of the border pillar areas, the problems caused by constant shifting of the border pillars will be eliminate to an extent.
The longitude and latitude measurement is different for all areas.
As such it would be best for the Central and State Governments to analyse the feasibility of such an approach at the earliest, he added.
On the other hand, Chandramani Khumancha said that ACOAM Lup will always take part in the issues plaguing the State like integrity and boundary issues and ILP issue.
He said that the main aim behind the foundation day is the survival and development of the State.
Youth are the pillars of the society.
As such, they should be guided properly, he said and added that ACOAM Lup will put greater emphasis on the youth of the State.
He continued that the association is also aiming to improve the work culture and develop the economy of the State.
The main source of income for the State is agriculture.
As such ACOAM Lup will work together with the Departments concerned to increase the agriculture produce of the State, he added.
Associate Professor DM University and founder president of ACOAM Lup, Dr RK Chandrakumar Singh, advisor of the Lup Indra Kumar Ningomba also attended the event as presidium members.
