Man reunites with wife

A person who was picked up by the Police after they found him roaming around Bongmol village under Champhai sub-division in Kangpokpi, has been handed over to his wife yesterday morning at Kangpokpi Police Station.
Motum Chitaranjan, s/o M Angou of Canchipur was found roaming around Bongmol village till sunset.
The villagers considering the disturbing rumours of child lifters in social media informed police to keep the man in their custody for his safety.
Kangpokpi Police immediately rushed to the spot and picked Motum Chitaranjan and keep him under their custody.
The wife, after she came across the whereabouts of her husband in local dailies, rushed to Kangpokpi to retrieve her husband.
M Angoubi along with one ASI of City Police, Imphal West reached Kpi this morning and were reunited after proper verification.
"We will not forget the humanity and kindness of Bongmol villagers, City Police, Kangpokpi Police and in particular the media fraternity for helping me find my beloved husband," said a visibly emotional Motum Angoubi.
According to Motum Angoubi, wife of Motum Chitaranjan, there are two more mentally challenged persons in her family.
The family have been facing immense hardship and anxiety over the sudden disappearance of Chitaranjan, said Angoubi.
