Ramdas Athawale promises all possible steps to increase old age pension

Union Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment Ramdas Athawale has assured to take up all possible steps to increase the amount of pension given to a beneficiary of National Old Age Pension Scheme, which is only Rs 200 per month.
He expressed his satisfaction and appreciation for the efforts of the State Government over various Social Welfare Schemes.
Reviewing the meeting of his Ministry at Imphal, Ramdas Athawale said that he is delighted to learn that atrocities against Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe in Manipur has lessened during 2017-18 .
He reiterated that, his Ministry under the NDA Govt is committed for the welfare of the people in general and SC/ST in particular.
Ramdas Athawale further stated that the Government is implementing a number of welfare schemes for the benefit of SC/ST population and people should come forward and avail it.
Minister of Social Welfare, Manipur Nemcha Kipgen, DGP Manipur LM Khaute, Labour Commissioner Th Gopen Meitei, Secretary of the Social Welfare Department, Zachintha Lazarus, Secretary Tribal Affairs and Development Athem Muivah were present in the review meeting.
