TFOs to discuss resignation of Tangkhul MLAs

With the deadline set for the Tangkhul MLAs to resign from the Assembly set to expire on October 3 and with no positive response coming from two sitting members, the Tangkhul frontal organizations during a joint meeting has fixed October 5 to discuss the resignation demand.
Speaking to this correspondent, vice president of Tangkhul Naga Long, Peimi said that non-acceptance of the resignations submitted by the NPF MLAs will also be discussed.
The vice president said that the finer details will be discussed on October 5 in a joint meeting of Tangkhul organizations, which will be chaired by the TNL president.
Members of the public, during an interaction today at Ukhrul Town Hall today said that if the resignation letters of the NPF MLAs have not been accepted then they should demand that the facilities provided by the Government be withdrawn in the interest of the tribals and to lodge their stand against the three Bills.
This will make their stand to resign more effective, they said.
