CPI leaders bash BJP, claim issues of Manipur related to politics

As part of its continuous movement against the alleged unethical governance by the Modi Government, which began from August 1, CPI Manipur Council organised a meeting at Open Bhavah, Khwairakpam, Bishnupur district today.
CPI National Executive Member Dr Nara, CPI State Council State Secretary L Sotinkumar, CPI MSC State Secretariat A Lala, CPI State Executive Member O Sumatibala, Veteran Communist leaders O Jugin and Ng Manglem and CPI Bishnupur District Secretary K Bimol attended the meeting cum sit in protest as presidium members.
The leaders and members of the party resolved to oppose the Framework Agreement, Citizenship (Amendment) Bill etc.
It also resolved to stand against losing the State's land to Myanmar and demanded dismissal of Manipur University Vice Chancellor AP Pandey at the earliest.
Alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the most unethical leader in the 72 years of governance in India, CPI National Executive Member Dr M Nara claimed that it would not be an exaggeration or wrong to say that all the issues and crisis prevailing in Manipur is connected to politics.
He alleged that the democracy and secularism is starting to get devalued since BJP Government came to power in both the Centre and the State.
Claiming that demonetisation and GST have caused great impact on the lives of thousands of people in the country, Nara stated that more than one lakh individuals who work on small businesses are gradually dying and are not able to improve their businesses anymore.
He warned that the State Government should bear the responsibility of the threat which has been created by the Framework Agreement.
He further alleged that the State Government has brushed aside the issue of BP 81 even though the natives at Kwatha village pointed out encroachment of land by the neighbouring country.
Commenting on the prolonged imbroglio of Manipur University, Nara claimed mat it is rather unfortunate that rallies are bring allegedly organised by BJP leaders to tarnish the true value of the protest organised by MU community to save career of thousands of students.
CPI State Council Secretary L Sotinkumar Singh alleged that poor farmers are another section of the general community who have been affected since BJP came to power in the Centre.
He alleged that the increase in price of all items and products has led to a life full of hardship for the poor section of the society despite the promises and assurance by BJP to take up initiatives for the welfare of the deprived section.
Sotinkumar alleged that Chief Minister N Biren, who earlier assured that there are no points which will affect the interest of the State in the FA, has called for a Special State Assembly Session to take a concrete resolution, which shows that Framework Agreement indeed includes something which will harm or affect the interest of Manipur.
He assured that CPI will continue its movement to make the public understand about the party's intention as well as the party's stand for the welfare of the people.
