Imphal, November 06 2017:
Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) has accused MSF members of seeting on fire a motorcycle belonging to a KSA member .
Addressing media persons today at its office located at Konjeng Hazari Leikai, secretary general of KSA S Bidyananda said it is very unfortunate that MSF members burned a motorcycle belonging to a KSA member and KSA never imagined that MSF would resort to such petty and cheap activity .
Bidyananda said that a team of MSF members led by its vice-president Lucky Konsam set on fire a Bajaj Pulsar (MN05B-3299) which was parked near KSA office at around 1.12 am today .
Further spread of the fire as well as attempt to burn other vehicles nearby was prevented when locals came to know of the incident, he said .
The CCTV camera footage of the incident is available with the KSA, he said.
Such dastardly act of leaders of a students' organisation under the influence of abusive drug/substance could set bad precedence if not corrected by their elders/advisers, he said .
He further said that MSF showed its unruly behaviour in the dead of the night when people were asleep .
KSA has shown utmost patience to the undesirable activities of MSF .
But now as their acts have gone beyond the tolerance level, KSA would not spare those involved in such uncivilised activities, he said .
Meanwhile, two of the four MSF members held by KSA were released after they were found innocent.
The two other members would be handed over to police station concerned for their involvement in the 'abduction' of KSA members and setting afire a motorcycle.
Bidyananda did not name the two MSF members though .
At the same time, police picked up the charred remains of the motorcycle which was set on fire.
