Seminar held at Yaikongpao

KANGPOKPI, August 09, 2014:
A one day Advocacy seminar on the Rights of Person with Disability was organized at Yaikongpao village in Sadar Hills, Senapati district today.
The advocacy seminar was organized by All Disabled Union Sadar Hills (ADUSH) in collaboration with Manipur North Economic Development Association (MANEDA) and it was attended by various civil society leaders, church leaders and village authorities apart from 30 differently abled persons.
Speaking at the occasion, Ahen Chongloi, ADUSH President encouraged the participants not to lament over their physical disorder but to participate in every social activity which falls under their capability.
MANEDA Project Officer Mangboi Singsit stressed on how MANEDA assiduously work for the development of the disabled society within Senapati District.
Th.Johnson Kaikho, Advisor of Senapati Disabled Peoples' Association Manipur (SDPAM) and All Disabled Union Sadar Hills (ADUSH) verbalized on the Rights of Person with Disability, Scheme available at their disposal and a brief history on how SDPAM and ADUSH had function.
While urging the partakers to copiously support and cooperate with the disabled organization Kamlienlal Guite, General Secretary of ADUSH assured that the organization will undertake every necessary activities for the development of the disabled society.
