CM inaugurates Ramakrishna Mission School

Chief
Minister O Ibobi Singh today
inaugurated the Ramakrihna
Mission School, Uripok,
Imphal West with the
inauguration of a Primary
School Building,
Administrative Building and
Vivekananda Block (Library
and Art Lab) at Uripok,
Bachaspati Maning Leikai,
Imphal West.
The inauguration function
was attended by Swami
Jnanalokanandaji Maharaj,
Trustee, Ramakrishna Math &
Ramakrishna Mission, Belur
Math, Howrah, West Bengal;
Govindas Konthoujam, Min-
ister Commerce & Industries,
Dr Kh Ratankumar, Minister
Education & Transport and L
Nanadakumar Singh.
Inaugurating the school,
the CM appealed to all not to
disturb, but to cooperate for
the success of the school.
He
said the Government is ex-
tending support in the
establishment of the school as
only the Government sector
cannot solve all the inadequa-
cies in the Education and
Health sector.
He expressed
his gratitude for the support
and cooperation extended by
the local MLA L.
Nandakumar Singh, Educa-
tion Department and all
concerned, including the peo-
ple of the surrounding area in
the establishment of the
school.
He also appealed to con-
tinue to give their moral and
physical support and coop-
eration to make the school
progress and produce good
citizens for a brighter and
peaceful Manipur.
Not only the parents, but
the Government and all are
equally responsible in the
building of our future genera-
tion, he added.
Speaking on the occasion,
Swami Jnanalokanandaji
Maharaj said that
Ramakrishna Mission School
aims at providing that type of
education where character is
formed, strength of mind is
increased and intellect is ex-
panded and by which one can
stand on one's feet.
Education Minister Dr Kh
Ratankumar Singh while
speaking at the function ex-
pressed that the Ramakrishna
Mission carries an atmos-
phere of harmony, peace and
spirituality and hoped that the
school will bring a qualitative
change in the realm of educa-
tion particularly based on
harmony, peace and spiritual-
ity.
Commerce Minister
Govindas Konthoujam, who
is an alumnus of the
Ramakrishna Mission School,
while speaking clarified that
the school is not based on the
Hindu religion and every re-
ligion is equally treated as
there is a prayer hall for all
the religions in every school.
Education Commissioner
(S) H Deleep Singh, alumni
of Ramakrishna Mission
Schools, teachers and parents
of the Ramakrishna Mission
School, Uripok attended the
inauguration function.
It may be mentioned that
the school is being opened
from this year from class I to
IV which is to be upgraded
gradually.
