CM reviews Go to Village Mission

Chief Minister N Biren Singh today reviewed the 'Go to Village' mission at a high level meeting held at the Cabinet Hall of Chief Minister's Secretariat.
The overall in-charge of the mission and Additional Chief Secretary (Works, Forest and Environment) Suhel Akhtar showed a PowerPoint presentation on the progress of the mission during the meeting.
The Chief Minister heard the problems and suggestions from the Nodal Officers, DCs and other officials regarding proper implementation of GTV mission and delivering services and benefits to the masses.
N Biren directed the officials to minimise the number of pending cases.
Stating that fish production is one of the priority of the State Government, the Chief Minister directed the Fishery Department officials to explore means to address to the needs of the public from the State Government's schemes, without waiting for Central Government funds.
Regarding construction of ponds for fish farming, N Biren asked the Department officials to depute field survey teams to assess whether the villagers' requests are feasible or not.
N Biren stated that more additional funds would be released to the DCs concerned for organising GTV camps.
A total of 2,45,975 beneficiaries were enrolled during the camps held till July 10 out of which services/benefits have been delivered to 1,78,334 people while 58,688 applications are still in pending.
It is said that 8851 applications have been rejected due to non-feasibility.
Chief Secretary Dr J Suresh Babu, Administrative Secretaries, Nodal Officers of different districts, DCs and Heads of Departments and other high ranking officials attended the meeting.
