Imphal, August 18 2013:
Ching Tam Health Care, MG Avenue organised a day-long free medical health camp at its premises today.
Chief guest of the camp, Parliamentary Secretary Tribal Development and Information Technology Victor Keishing expressed that healthcare is very important and said, many women have died due to lack of healthcare.
There are many Government and private hospitals, however, many poor patients find lots of hardships during medical treatment, Keishing observed and said, "Even if the poor patients are not treated at free of cost, it will be a good step to provide medical treatment for them at subsidised rate" .
He also stressed on the importance of such health camps and said these are needed especially in hill areas as the patients there face more hardships due to long distance, and urged to jointly make efforts to let the patients in both hills and valley get medical treatment.
Secretary of MPCC Jyotin Waikhom said, there are many people who do not get medical treatment even though they live in urban area.
It is very fortunate that such a health camp is conducted during such time.
Romio Pamei, Member Ward Development Committee also attended the occasion in which the doctors of Ching Tam Health Care provided free health camp to many people today.
