MLA Dr V Alexander Pao calls for tribal unity

Emphasizing the importance of unity among the tribal peoples in the state Dr..VAlexander Pao, MLA 47-Karong AC said that unless tribal are united there is no authority to addresses the grievances of the tribal peoples in the state.
The Karong MLA was speaking at the flag hoisting programme of NPF candidate H.Khangba in respect of 6-Kalapahar District Council Constituency of Kangpokpi AC today at the residential campus of the candidate at Tumnoupokpi village.
The MLA continued that NPF is political party formed to address the grievances of the tribal people and mainly a political platform for the tribal people before adding that there is no tribal reservation up to the mark in other national party even though they might have many other good ideology and manifesto.
Though few in the numbers of MLA from NPF in the state we enthusiastically protected and safeguarded the tribal land and identity asserted Dr V Alexander Pao while adding that NPF is only mean for the Naga community but all community as whole.
The Karong MLA hoisted the flag of NPF in the presence of K Raina, former Deputy Speaker and Vice President NPF Manipur and others NPF leaders and church leaders.
K Raina, former Dy Speaker, Government of Manipur called for experience leaders who knows the Manipur Hills Areas (District Council Act) for the people of Kalapahar DCC while adding that without experience leaders Kalapahar DCC will be very unfortunate.
He also said that Kalapahar DCC is the prestigious District Council Constituency within Kangpokpi AC where all community sheltered.
NPF President, Senapati Unit Soni Matthew lamented that in Manipur every rights has been centralized while emphasizing the need to decentralized every rights of the tribal people in the state.
Henia, President NPF Women Wing Manipur; Lunkhohao Chongloi, President NPF Sadar Hills and Rev.Apila also attended the function apart from many other party leaders and church leaders.
A part from huge congregation many village chiefs and social workers also attended the programme.
