CPI Kakching holds annual conference

Kakching, March 01 2020:
The 49th annual conference of Communist Party of India (CPI), Kakching Local Council was held today at its office at Kakching, said a statement issued by CPI Manipur State Council.
The conference was attended by Yengkhom Dhananjoy, CPI Control Commission Chairman; ex-Minister, Thokchom Tomba; M Iboyaima, CPI veteran leader and L Sotinkumar, CPI State secretary as presidium members.
Delegates from different part of Kakching district also attended the programme.
The welcome address was given by L Sakhi while Y Kesho and Y Dhananjoy submitted the organisation and political draft reports.
Speaking on the occasion, L Sotinkumar said that the incumbent Government has undermined the democratic values of the Indian Constitution on many occasions.
Claiming that the BJP Government is trying to break the secular fabric of the country by following Hindutva politics, he asserted that since the coming of Narendra Modi led Government into power the country is going backwards in term of development.
The CPI leader then condemned the recent Delhi-violence which claimed the lives of over 40 people and injuring hundreds, apart from destroying several properties.
After the conference, L Kshetra Singh and M Sunil have been appointed as local secretary and joint secretary of the council respectively.
