Imphal, November 05 2026:
In order to thwart off any possible attack upon farmers during the ongoing harvesting season, security measures have been strengthened across several agricultural areas.
Spear Corps, under the aegis of the Indian Army, in close coordination with Manipur Police, has instituted comprehensive security measures across agricultural areas.
Pro-active domination patrols, area sanitisation and deployment of Quick Reaction Teams (QRTs) have been undertaken to ensure a secure environment for farmers and facilitate unhindered agricultural activities.
These measures are aimed at preventing any disruption to harvesting operations and providing confidence to the local farming community, said an army officer.
The coordinated efforts of the security forces reflect their continued commitment towards safeguarding the interests of the local population, protecting livelihoods and ensuring a peaceful environment for agricultural activities.
The initiative reaffirms the resolve of the security forces to work in close coordination with civil administration and police agencies to facilitate the restoration of normalcy and strengthen peace and stability in Manipur, the army officer added.
