Repoll notice null and void: Senapati District Judge

District Judge, Senapati, A Noutuneshwari has declared the State Election Commission's re-poll notification for four polling stations (21/1, 21/2, 21/3 and 21/4) of 21-Oinam constituency, District Council, Senapati null and void.
The election was held on June 1, 2015.The Court also ordered the District Election Officer Senapati to make all the ballot boxes of the four polling stations (kept in strong room) available before the Court for consideration on or before November 28.The Court gave the directive following a petition filed by one Longkhae of Oinam Hill village against two candidates of Oinam constituency, Autonomous District Council, Senapati, Heipuni Leo and Joseph with a prayer to declare the re-poll notification of the four polling stations null and void.
Following an order of the State Election Commission, re-poll was held on June 6, 2015 for all the polling stations including the four polling stations.
The result of the election was declared on June 6, 2015 and the commission had declared Heipuni Leo as elected member.
The petitioner in his petition contended that the election on June 1, 2015 was conducted in a free and fair manner.
"With false allegation and concocted stories, fabricated photographs, Heipuni Leo submitted complaint petition before the District Election Officer, Senapati for fresh poll in all the four polling stations," the petition said.
The Chairman of the Oinam Hill village submitted an application to the District Election Officer, Senapati stating that the elections were held peacefully in all the four polling stations without any disturbances.
During the Court's proceedings, the petitioner produced five prosecution witnesses and also produced documents to prove his statement.
