Hit and run accused nabbed

Kangpokpi, November 27 2018:
The hunt for the perpetrators involved in the hit and run case at Saparmeina on Chavang Kut night ended after 25 days of tireless efforts of Thadou Students' Association Sadar Hills and Special Investigation Team (SIT), constituted solely for the purpose of investigating the case yesterday.
The TSA Sadar Hills has handed over the accused persons to the SIT and Gamnom-Saparmeina Police Station yesterday evening.
Supervised by Michael Lamjathang Haokip, secretary general, TSA-GHQ and his team comprising of Kamkhomang Kipgen, president, TSA Sadar Hills (TSA-SH) Thangtinlen Haokip, general secretary, TSA-SH handed over the accused persons to the Investigating Officer (IO) of the SIT, Sang, MPS, Dy SP Kangpokpi in the presence of Officer-in-Charge, Gamnom-Saparmeina Police Station, Jangkhohao Haokip.
Meanwhile, the student body lauded the State police for their untiring efforts in the case.
It also thanked the general public for their full cooperation and extended gratitude especially to Nemcha Kipgen, Minister of Social Welfare, Th Radheshyam, Minister of Education, DGP, IGP (Ops), DC & SP Kangpokpi, IO of SIT, OC Gamnon-Saparmaina PS and members of the TSA team for all their contributions.
The student body said that all bandhs and blockade in connection with the incident stand cancelled.
