Manipur State Scout Union (MSSU) which have been defunct for the last many years due to corruption and internal dissension among its member will once again start functioning within a short period, disclosed MSSU president Th Chandrasekhar and Commissioner M Ibobi.
Interacting with mediaperson today, MSSU president Th Chandrasekhar said that as a first step to cleanse the union, eleven officer bearers who have been appointed through unfair means will be removed from their respective posts and further added that the eleven persons were appointed with without issuing any notice to the concerned authorities in 1995.The eleven officer bearers who have been appointed through unfair means are RK Tomalsana (president), Ksh Chaoba (V president), K Jayananda Sharma (State secy), Joykumar Thokchom (assistant commissioner), Khangembam Shachikumar (assistant commissioner), K Gopal Mohan Sharma (Treasurer), L Chaoba Singh (assistant commissioner), L Tondon (Jt Secy), W Leishabi Singh, L Subash Singh, I Tomba Singh.
Mention may be made her that MSSU president Th Chandrasekhar and Commissioner Ibobi had filed a case in the Civil Judge Senior Division No I Manipur East against the eleven self styled office bearers of the Union in 1995.
