Members of the Opposition Political Parties Forum today submitted a written complaint to the State's Chief Electoral Officer stating that the signature on the A form of the nomination papers of the Congress (I) candidate Dr Budhichandra is invalid and cannot be accepted.
Members of the Opposition Political Parties Forum in a meeting held at the offical quarter of MLA Tomba at Babupura also unanimously agreed there was some technical mistakes in the nomination papers of Dr Budhichandra.
The forum's meeting was held in connection with the upcoming by election of Konthoujan AC.
Talking to mediapersons, Forum's convenor Dr L Chandramani said that the matter was put before the State's Chief Electoral Officer as the issue was brushed aside by the returning officer even after fully knowing the technical mistakes.
Informing that a copy of the complaint submitted to the State's Chief Electoral Officer will also be sent to the Chief Election Commissioner tomorrow for reviewing on the matter, said Chandramani adding that the controversy over the MSCP election symbol will also be included in the copy that would be sent to the Chief Election Commissioner.
