Health camps at border villages

Block Programme Management Unit of Moreh Primary Health Centre organised an outreach Reproductive Child Health (RCH) camp at border villages located 40 kms away from Moreh along the Indo-Myanmar border in Chandel district last Saturday under National Rural Health Mission.
The outreach camp, which was held at T Bongmol, Ch Tengnoupal, Chonjang and Yangoubung villages, was organised under supervision of State Health Mission Director, O Ibomcha Singh.
During the 2 days long health camp, a team of 6 doctors and 14 paramedical staff led by Dr N Birchandra, CMO Chandel and Dr Ph Rameshwor, Joint Director State Family Welfare provided free treatment and immunizations to the villagers besides conducting different types of medical test including malaria test.
Apart from distributing medicines free of cost to the villagers, chemical treated mosquito nets were also provided free of cost to the pregnant women and nursing mothers.
