National Integration team flagged in

The National Integration tour organised by Tamenglong Battalion of Senapati Brigade under the aegis of Red Shield Division was flagged in by the commander, Senapati Brigade at Senapati on Jan 15, said a statement issued by PIB, Defence Wing today.
The 15 day tour to Jaipur and Ajmer comprised of 25 students and two teachers from the remote areas of Tamenglong district.
During the tour, children interacted with Lt Gen HJS Sachdeva, SM, Chief of Staff, South Western Command.
The students also visited historical places like War Memorial, City Palace, Jal Mahal, Amber Palace and Birla Planetarium.
At Jaipur, the team visited Emmanuel Mission Senior Secondary School where they played a friendly football match, participated in a choir song and interacted with students.
The students also visited Military School, Ajmer during the tour.
The tour has provided students from remote areas of Tamenglong district, an opportunity to learn about various cultures giving an insight of life in other parts of the Nation.
During his interaction with the students, Commander Senapati Brigade said that children are the building blocks of the Nation and the security forces are committed to provide them the best exposure to broaden their horizon through such Military Civic Action programmes.
The students thanked the Red Shield Division for giving them such a unique opportunity.
During the flagging in ceremony, the students were presented with a certificate of appreciation and memento by Commander Senapati Brigade.
