KSO-SH slams State Government, declares support to KISG, SANPO bandh

Kuki Students' Organization Sadar Hills while condemning the O Ibobi led State Government in the strongest term for alleged discriminatory attitude to the tribal people in one way or the other today declared its fullest support and endorsement to the Joint Committee of Kuki Inpi Saikul Gamkai and Saikul Area Naga People's Organization's 48-hrs bandh call.
KSO president Thangminlen Kipgen while speaking to media person this evening at Kanggui said that the demands of the Joint Committee of KISG and SANPO are genuine and legitimate and all are for the cause of all tribal people in the state.
He contended that O Ibobi led State Government continously execute its discriminatory policies against the tribal people for the past many years in one way or the other while adding that the silence of the State Government over the memorandum submitted to DyCM on September 25 for cancellation of Home Department's notification of June, 2011 wherein more than 120 villages of Saikul sub-division under including some villages of Ukhrul sistrict have been included respectively in Imphal East and Thoubal districts.
He also warned that if any of the 120 villages under Sadar Hills and Ukhrul district were included despite stiff opposition already highlighted to the the Govt through the memorandum, KSO-SH will take up all possible and effective measures which will compel the Govt to ultimately acknowledge concern of the tribal people.
if any untoward incident occurs O Ibobi and his Govt should bear all responsibility, Thangminlen asserted.
In the meantime, the student body also declared its fullest support and endorsement to the Joint Committee of KISG and SANPO's 48-hr Senapati district bandh from midnight of October 14. The student body urged all vehicles owners, businessmen and others, except those activities relaxed/exempted from the purview of the bandh by the committee, to ensure that the agitation do not result in destruction of properties.
KSO-SH further warned to take up more intense agitation in support of the genuine demand of the Joint Committee if the 48-hrs bandh do not evoke positive response from the State Govt.
