Abducted driver released

Inter-State bus driver, who was abducted by unknown armed miscreants from Vishwema in Nagaland on November 27, has been released by his captors today.
Thoudam Rame of Luwangshangbam Matai Awang Leikai, who reached home this evening, said that he was abducted by three armed youths who came in a white Maruti van at around 6 am.
His captors who spoke Nagamese, Hindi and Manipuri, told Rame that he was taken into custody as their association had failed to clear the monetary demand served by them.
He was blinfolded and taken around 40 kms inside Nagaland, Rame added.
The captors however told the driver that they would not harm him.
Rame was freed near Tadubi in Senapati district after they crossed three hill ranges.
Rame came up to Senapati in a Tata Sumo and found his family members waiting for him there.
Meanwhile, All Manipur Inter State Bus Association said that a monetary demand of Rs 20 lakh was served by NNC/FGN to the association after Rame's abduction.
