Successful performance of non-operative closure of holes in hearts

Sky Hospital, RIMS Road on Saturday for the second time successfully performed non-operative closure of hole in the hearts for four patients.
The holes were closed with a special plug called Amplatzer Septal Occluderdevice which is like a small umbrella.
Such procedure was performed using Flat Panel Cath Lab Machine and Trans Esophageal (TEE) Machine.
Chairman of Sky Hospital, Dr Shyamkishore Lairikyengbam expressed satisfaction saying that Sky Hospital now provides such sophisticated procedure of closing holes in the heart without charging any money to BPL families in Manipur.
The hospital will continue to provide free services to BPL families of Manipur and other Northeastern States, he added.
Naorem Melisa of Wangjing, Laishram Sushil of Khangabok Khulakpam Leikai, H Romila of Uchiwa Mamang Leikai and Pukhrambam Ricky of Sagolband Tera were the ones who got benefitted on Saturday.
Dr Shyamkishore disclosed that all patients are well and will be discharged after one day and they can resume their normal duty after seven days.
