Library Day observed

Joseph Pauline, ADM speaking on the occasion of 'Librarian Day' as chief guest, said that the most successful person in life is the one who gets and read the best book.
Addressing a group of students and participants of the Librarian's Day observation and one day library awareness cum book exhibition, organized by the Manipur Library Association and District Library, Senapati, the ADM stated, "To become great people we need inspiration from great people's life depicted through biographies that can be found in library" .
Further, to inspire the students to cultivate reading habit the MCS officer quoted examples of great freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru, Gina and others who veraciously had the reading habit through which they acquired knowledge to fight against the powerful British Empire through knowledge and wisdom.
The officer who shared his toilsome experience through reading strongly urged the young audience to cultivate reading habit as the foremost habit in student life.
He also asserted, "When we get reading habits we get addicted and books become a friend and supper parents".

The programme was inaugurated by Joseph Pauline as chief guest, R Rang Peter, CEO, ADC, Senapati as guest of honor and L Sabita Devi, President, MALA, as the Presiding Officer of the programme that was sponsored by Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation (RRRLF) Kolkata and Department of Arts & Culture, Government of Manipur, was participated by CMO, SDSA student leaders, DLOs of other department and students of Brook Dale school.
